Bharti Taneja, aesthetician, cosmetologist and Founder-director of ALPS Beauty Academy and Group, has shared a few tips to keep your feet happy during monsoon:

* Wear open, strappy sandals that are made of waterproof material. Once you're back home, wash your feet with an antiseptic liquid and pat dry. Layer it with loads of talcum powder to prevent your feet sweating further.

If your feet stink during the downpour season, try keeping used tea bags inside your shoes to retain the freshness.

Kimmel, who hosts the talk show “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Star World and Star World HD, spoke to radio and television personality Howard Stern about hosting the ceremony.

He shared that even though it is a huge opportunity, it is much more difficult than doing a 20-minute show as there are a lot more dynamics involved.

“I wouldn't say I am excited about that or anything. Wrangling everybody is very difficult, it's difficult because you really only have three or four minutes to do your monologue, you really have to make sure your material is strong whereas when you are going on and doing 20 minutes at night, you have peaks and valleys," Kimmel said in a statement from the channel.

Sit less, move more to cut heart risk

  • facebook
Living a sedentary life can be a potentially independent risk factor for heart disease and stroke, warns a study, suggesting to "sit less and move more".

The findings showed that sedentary behaviour may be also associated with an increased risk of developing diabetes, impaired insulin sensitivity (linked to diabetes) and an overall higher risk of death from any cause.

Sedentary behaviour includes sitting, reclining, or laying down while awake as well as reading, watching television or working on the computer.

These 'inactive activities' mean energy expenditure is less than or equal to 1.5 metabolic equivalents, or METs.

Light housework or slow, leisurely walking uses about 2.5 METs, moderate to vigorous physical activity usually requires 3.0 or more METs.

"The story traverses through different periods through the course of the film.
