Ayushman Khurana opens up in Siddharth Kannan’s Show

  • facebook

There is always a unique amusement when the gossip shoots off from one’s own mouth. Also, not every host is smart enough to extract that out, but for Hatt K Sid K alias #Siddharth_Kannan  is certainly a piece of cake.

We are well informed about Ayushman Khurana usually being lip sealed about his personal life and liking but during a recent interview the case flipped and he became vocal about topics like Doggy style.. Oh! That’s kinky.

The Vicky Donor “Aryan blood boy” also relishes his experience of cleaning utensils for his Burmese mother and now washing his children’s poop.

Himself  being a VJ & now being a successful actor, Ayushman still is in dread of one man, even over his voice overs. It is the man he considers “the baap of all”.  Lets find out who.

Siddharth Kanan: "With the gift of gab and bag full of quirkiness, Siddharth Kannan is one of India's finest Television and Radio Hosts, Master of Ceremonies,Voice-over professionals and a YouTube sensation!

The global journey of curry - with some recipes thrown in

  • facebook

#Curry, in the culinary lexicon, is intrinsically associated with the routine Indian meal. Be it fish, meat or vegetable, the dishes are primarily curry-based, which is mostly relished with rice or roti. But this culinary delicacy now has a global identity.

And Colleen Taylor Sen's latest book, "Curry: A Global History", explores how recipes associated with curries have evolved with time and been widely accepted throughout the world.

The book opens with a note on the global presence of the recipe.

"If any dish deserves to be global, it is curry. From Newfoundland to the Antarctic, from Beijing to Warsaw, there is scarcely a place where curries are not enjoyed," writes Sen.

The book says that many "fanciful and sometimes hilarious explanations" are associated with the word "curry". Sen suggests that the term has been probably derived from a southern Indian language -- "karil" or "kari". That became "caril" in Portuguese and, later, "curry" in English.

Sen mentions that, traditionally, the word was not used by Indians as they would call dishes by their specific names like korma, rogan josh, molee, vindaloo or doh piaza. Culinary experts would insist that the only dish that deserves to be called curry is the one developed in the kitchens of British India in the late 18th century.

No Bollywood styling for designers Anjalee, Arjun Kapoor

  • facebook

#Anjalee and #Arjun_Kapoor love designing for Bollywood actresses, but they don't prefer styling for movies as they feel it takes lot of time in coordination.

"I love dressing Bollywood actresses, but at the same time I don't prefer styling for Bollywood movies since it takes a lot of time in coordination. Styling for the entire Bollywood crew takes a lot of time, but in case some great opportunity comes to me, I won't refuse to style garments," Anjalee told.

The designers, who have completed 12 years since launching their brand in the Indian fashion industry, feel their biggest learning is the need to evolve with time.

"My journey as a designer has been more than 20 years. The journey has been a very successful one, but at the same time a lot of hard work has gone into it. The biggest learning that I have got is that one has to evolve designs year after year since fashion tends to stagnate at all levels," said Arjun Kapoor.
