Emma Stone says her male co-stars take pay cuts for her

  • facebook

Actress #Emma_Stone says her male co-stars willingly take pay cuts so that she can get equal salary.

The 28-year-old, who will next be seen in "Battle of the Sexes" says her male co-stars are willing to take pay cuts for her as they can judge what is right and what is wrong (pay gap), reports

"In my career so far, I've needed my male co-stars to take a pay cut so that I may have parity with them. And that's something they do for me because they feel it's what's right and fair, so that's something that's also not discussed, necessarily -- that our getting equal pay is going to require people to selflessly say, 'That's what's fair'," Stone told Out magazine.

Of her role as tennis star Billie Jean King in her upcoming movie, the actress said: "She's (character) such a coach and she knows sports psychology, and she instantly reduced it to playing catch, so I got to feel like a golden retriever running after a ball, and just making sure the ball was in front of my face.

My father used to stay in a chawl in the Teen Batti area... And (seeing)... where he has come to... that inspires me to work hard and do amazing things for my family," Tiger told over phone from Mumbai.

So, does he take any professional advice from his father, who has been in the industry since 1982?

"No, I don't consult him on my career because his style and my style of working are very different. He does everything in a very 'bindass' way and I can't be that 'bindass'."

Monsoon trends for men this season

  • facebook

#Monsoon calls for so many changes that need to be made in the wardrobe. Just like women, men should also keep in mind certain things to look dapper in this weather. Experts suggest that vibrant colours with some experimentation with accessories can add more spark to their personality.

Designer Kunal Rawal and Sandeep Gonsalves, co-founder of luxury menswear label SS HOMME, dole out tips on monsoon trends for men this season.

* Sport shirts in vibrant colours like green, electric blue, yellow and red that will contrast with the gloomy weather. Shirts with quirky prints work perfectly as they add fun and dimension to an otherwise insipid ensemble.

* Choose a convenient pair of trousers that are lightweight, well cut and end right above the ankle for formal events or business meets. Avoid whites and pastels as they tend to stain easily and could also turn transparent after getting soaked in the rain.

Play with your sari for a different you

  • facebook

#Saris can be formal, sexy, fun, traditional and so much more but wearing them in one style can make the most interesting and expensive look a tad boring. How about giving this six yard wonder a different draping every time you step out?

Fashion designer Naina Jain and celebrity sari draper Dolly Jain give you alternate ways to drape your sari.

* Sari as a gown: This style is comfortable yet very chic. It gives a classy look that can be a perfect choice for a cocktail outfit. These sari gowns are for those who don't want to tuck in and drape saris the traditional way. Even if you step over the pleats and tucks, the sari-cum-gown stays in place.

* Sari over pants: To look more trendy, you can opt for the pant style sari. For this, you would need a pair of jeggings or leggings, crop top or choli and heels. Just start by pleating one end of the sari as you would want to drape it, pinning it up and tucking it into your pants at the centre and then the other end can be draped as a chunni across the shoulders in various ways.
